Limited Warranty and Key Terms of Supply by Nautilus
Nautilus will provide a three year limited warranty on Anchoring Systems for pleasure boat usage, subject to the conditions, limitations and exceptions as listed below. Any product which proves to be defective in normal usage during the three-year period will be repaired or, at Nautilus’ option, replaced. EXCEPTIONS Coverage under this warranty is limited to a period of one year from the date of purchase by the end user in the case of any of the following products or parts of products. Electric motors and associated electrical equipment Electronic controls Anchor and roller Hardware accessories Anchor chain & ropes Products used in commercial charter application or racing application CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS Nautilus liability shall be limited to the repair or replacement of any parts of the product which are defective in materials or workmanship. Nautilus shall not be liable in any way for product failure or any resulting loss or damage that arises from: Use of a product in an application for which it was not designed or intended; Corrosion, ultra violet degradation or wear and tear; Failure to service or maintain the product in accordance with MarineTown recommendations; Faulty or deficient installation of the product; Any modification or alteration of the product; Conditions that exceed the products’ performance specification or safe working load; Abuse. This warranty does not cover any incidental costs incurred for the investigation, removal, carriage, transport or re-installation of the product. LIABILITY Nautilus shall not be liable for: Damages, costs or expenses payable to any third party; Any damage to yachts or equipment. PROCEDURE Notice of a claim for service under this warranty shall be made promptly and in writing with the following information to be provided by the end user to Nautilus or Nautilus agent. Fill out the Return Materials Authorization form explaining the reason for the return. Include the part number in question. Also, if possible, please provide a photo of the item showing evidence of the failure or faulty part. When returning the item, please use protective materials and package carefully. If possible, use the original shipping box. See the attachment for more information.
